Microsoft is looking to be incorporating integrated RGB lighting controls into its upcoming operating system, Windows 11.  This will be a welcome change for fans of customizable lighting, as it will allow them to adjust lighting effects for connected peripherals directly in the Windows 11 Settings app.

Currently, users have to rely on separate software from each hardware manufacturer to control RGB lighting, but with this new feature, it will all be streamlined within the operating system. The latest Windows 11 build, released to Insiders in the Dev channel, already contains some of these capabilities, but they are currently hidden. The Settings app now offers options to choose a brightness level, lighting effect, speed, and color, even allowing users to match the current Windows theme color.

While it has not been officially announced by Microsoft, the presence of these new settings has been discovered by the Insider community. It remains to be seen if this feature will actually be included in Windows 11, but it looks promising for those who want a fully integrated setup with RGB lighting.
