Windows 10 Spring 2018 Update Now Launches May 9th

Microsoft will now be releasing the Spring update of Windows 10 in may, two weeks ago it canceled the update due to what was described as a blocking bug that they discovered, which could have an effect on a small group of people, but was a serious one.

An internal memo leaked out now stating that the pending Windows 10 update will officially roll out on 9 May. The memo originates from a China retail source so it's not exactly officially confirmed.

Due to time zone differenced, that could be Tuesday May 8 in the USA. If correct, this does mean that this particular update will be version 1803, called the April Update, but being available in May. The current build 17134, released last Friday to the Slow and Release Preview rings, is the candidate for the April Update, and assuming no "blocking bugs" happen inside the next week or so, we should start to see an official announcement by Microsoft, hopefully before or as BUILD starts, on May 7 in Redmond.
