I upgraded 20 machines with intel graphics, they are fine today. Upgraded my AMDFX6300\970GTX rig and Surface Pro 1 the other day, zero problems.
In fact, I got about 15 more minutes battery life on my SP1. Its even measuring about 8 minutes higher with batterybar, so far.

I've tried 1809 on two live installs (a pro and a LTSB) and didn't have the issue, thankfully. I have backups of almost everything but I would've deleted everything related to win10 that I have, even ltsb 2016, if it did happen to me :p
Apparently MS support just tells you to restore from a backup. This is their way of taking you back to a "good state"? lol. I thought the file associations bug was bad and same goes with the unreliable user interface but this takes the sh!t cake.
I use LTSB and let MS do all the hard work :p
I used windows privacy dashboard when I tried Pro. I selected unwanted apps and with a click, they were gone.

Link to add store to LTSC, from there you can add Xbox app to run UWP games like Forza 7.

I'll bet a dollar that after Microsoft "fixes" 1809, it'll somehow manage to hose something on a few rigs that were OK with the initial release.
