I've only ever had one failed Gigabyte product, and that was because of a combination of things that I wouldn't totally blame them for. It had a 3-year warranty, and just a few months before that warranty expired, I contacted them to fix it, which they did. It was a relatively easy process (they didn't fix the problem the first time around but they sent me a whole new board the 2nd time). Granted, this was around 2014 so things might've changed since then, but like others have stated, Gigabyte certainly isn't garbage.
Anyway, the PCB for this GPU is still black. The only white parts are the heatsink housing and backplate. If anyone really wants a white GPU, it's not hard to just get any model you like, take off those parts, and spraypaint them. A white PCB is more eye-catching and special, IMO.
I appreciate you coming to Gigabytes defense. To me and the small claim I had to put against them for my vega 64, they will always be thin PCB cheap capacitor crap software garbage ... I have no patience for their use of non published warranty, damaged replacement cards and charging my credit card $500...refusing to explain or justify their choices. Refusing to take back the broken card, refund my money or fix the card I sent in...all for no published reasons...and wasting 3 months of my time.
If it ever happens to you...trust me, you will find a long line of people that have been subject to this same treatment.
As for those who don't...I wish I was one of you!
