Landing on the moon was historic, but landing a satellite on a comet, that's pretty special and a new milestone as well. The Rosetta Satellite launched back in 2004 from ESA (European Space Agency) is on its way to becoming the first spacecraft to touch down on a comet (67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko). ESA’s Rosetta spacecraft arrived at Comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko on 6 August after a ten-year journey through the Solar System.

The landing site, currently known as Site J and located on the smaller of the comet’s two ‘lobes’, was selected just six weeks after Rosetta arrived at the comet. Do not expect a live video feed from the Rosetta Satellite, but the first images (if it lands succesful) should arrive 7 PM CET from what I heard. It is a pretty special moment.
