Ubisoft has announced that WATCH_DOGS 2 will be available worldwide on November 15th. WATCH_DOGS 2 is described as the product of over two years of intensive development by the original creative team behind the Watch Dogs brand.

WATCH_DOGS 2 promises to offer a fictional environment linked to challenges players can relate to, while offering high-quality entertainment as they explore the San Francisco Bay Area with Marcus Holloway.

Watch the first-ever look into the new Watch_Dogs 2. Set in the birthplace of the tech revolution, the San Francisco Bay Area, Watch_Dogs 2 explores a new reality where an interconnected city and network of personal devices are used to control and manipulate citizens on a unprecedented scale. Step into the shoes of a brilliant hacker, Marcus Holloway, and hack everything on your way to shutting down the establishment behind this massive corruption.

Players enter a massive and dynamic open world environment set in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is the latest city to adopt ctOS 2.0, an advanced operating system networking the city infrastructure, and in the wrong hands, ctOS 2.0 can be used to invasively control and manipulate everyday citizens.  Watch_Dogs 2 is an open world action-adventure game where the San Francisco Bay Area is your living playground and hacking is your weapon to bend the city – and its people – to your will. Step into the shoes of Marcus Holloway, a brilliant hacker, and journey to pull off the Hack of the Century: a crippling shutdown of ctOS 2.0, an invasive technology used by the powerful to silently control everyday citizens. Watch_Dogs 2 will be available on PlayStation®4 system, Xbox One, and Windows PC on November 15, 2016.

I got a good laugh out of that .

It's people like you why these games turn out like crap. When you pre-order a game because of a trailer or just simply the name, you're telling the developers that what they've already done is good enough and that you're willing to pay for a product regardless of it's level of completion or refinement. This is why the Assassins Creed series is mediocre yet won't die.

Ubisoft isn't a small or struggling independent company. They don't need immediate funding to keep this going. Pre-ordering games from such companies encourages them to be lazy. Not only that, but you're probably not going to get a physical copy.

Besides, what do you get out pre-ordering? A couple days worth of early access? What difference does that make, when you will inevitably need day-zero patches anyway?
I like the give companies the benefit of the doubt until they do something horribly wrong. If there were retail DRM free/very lite releases I'd probably preorder some games. Ubisoft has been screwing things up for a while now and it's a wonder why people buy their games at all, let alone preorder.

Agreed. In some cases, a pre-order is acceptable. Usually for companies as big as Ubisoft or EA though, it's never worth it. That's why I brought up independent developers, because they actually do need the money and they see the preorders as motivation rather than say "well, looks like we already did what the people wanted! Let's release this as-is!"

Looking forward to the release, not going to pre-order though.

As we know from past Ubi$hit performances yesterday "real" gameplay and release November 15th gameplay will share a little more than the game name.

Based on that this is my personal preview of the next months game "optimizations" for PC version ...
