People complain all the time, nothing new, move along. But on a serious note, here in EU it will cost 900€ for sure

People keep buying them, so they have no reason to offer them at fair prices.
Remember the cheap AOC g-sync monitor? Well, they sold like crazy and thus AOC almost doubled the price from what it's actually worth to what people want to pay for it.
This trend is prevalent in the "gaming" sector.

Personally I am hoping LG expands their wcg hdr oled TV lines to include 32/30" TV sets.
Compared to the sale pricing their previous model OLEDs drop down to...
( 55" 4k sets comparitively with yearly model releases as an example )
Than I could see a healthy 4k tv market reducing the cost if a 30 " oled tv market existed well below the 55" sets on sale. (Which are far below $4000)
I could easily envision 30" hdr tv reaching sub $500 price bracket pretty quickly!
In which case...
I would easily snag 3 of them for a surround setup!
With touted pixel densities, clarity, black levels, wide color gamut accuracy! And the contrast ratio of HDR linear bit depths! These are not yer daddy's HD tv sets!
Could easily see us just saying no! To the milking abuse we are getting from current gaming releases if we could force the markets hand by going with the TV industries gigantic technology leap in fidelity.
We would get all those rewards boosting our experience over our current fare To insulate us from the assured price gouging when monitor manufacturers release with the same tech!
We would take a hit if TV have no path for advanced sync though.
But with an active 3D tv I am hoping at least ulmb would be possible?
And of course if the consumer market was smart/vocal enough the TV manufacturers including modern sync solutions would be rewarded with significant market share!
It could happen!

In which case...
I would probably run those 3 tvs at 1440p a piece instead of trying to suffer SLI on my gtx 1080. ( bad enough I blinked and got FE )
