ViewSonic jumps on the 4K bandwagon by releasing the VX2880ml, a 28" LCD monitor with a 4k - 3840 x 2160 resolution. This one is priced sharp though at €399. The new screen offers a 5ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 170/160 viewing angles and 1.07b colours apparently. The screen once again is using a TN Film panel, and with W-LED backlighting offering a standard sRGB gamut.
The screen is also advertised as being flicker free, without the use of PWM and even features a low blue light mode setting as well.
The display offers MHL enabled HDMI, DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort connectivity options. There are 2x 2W integrated stereo speakers and a basic tilt only adjustment available from the stand.

The VX2880ml is now available for an RRP of £359/€399 (exc. VAT).
