Nvidia launched the mobile versions of the RTX 2080 , 2070 and the new 2060 at the launch of CES 2019 . In the notebook segment they will become available as GeForce RTX 2080, 2070 and 2060 as well as each with "Max-Q" as an option.

Max-Q should differ in their performance as little as possible from the desktop variant, but should allow for particularly slim gaming notebooks. With the GeForce RTX 2080 (Max-Q) and GeForce RTX 2070 (Max-Q), the Turing GPUs of the desktop versions are also used in the notebook. According to current information, these are unchanged TU102 and TU104 GPUs,  adapted to use in 2019. only by Power Target and Temperature Target. Nvidia mentions 17 new Max-Q-designed notebooks will be releases, while more than 40 notebooks have been announced with the new RTX GPUs. In 2018, only seven notebooks with Max-Q were introduced, even fewer in the two years before the announcement in mid-2016. The first laptops will be available from January 29.
