The guys at Verbatim launched the GT Portable Hard Drivew which is a new external USB 3.0 hard disk available in capacities of 500GB and 1TB for 99EUR and 139EUR, respectively. The GT Portable Hard Drive has a race car inspired theme, it comes in red and blue versiona and features a racing stripe as well as two status LEDs inspired by a racing car's brake lights.

Verbatim equipped the disk with a "read-only" switch to prevent accidental deletion or overwriting of important data, and bundled the hard drive with a copy of Nero BackItUp Essentials. The portable disk measures 195mm x 121mm and has a thickness of 33mm. It's immediately available throughout Europe.
