Ubisoft announced a remake of Splinter Cell, rebuilt from the ground up utilizing the Snowdrop Engine

Great news for our stealthy gurus: after rumors began to circulate a few days ago, Ubisoft has announced the remake of Splinter Cell, bringing back the critically acclaimed 2002 game while incorporating all of today's technology.

This recreation of Splinter Cell will be created from the ground up and will make use of the Snowdrop Engine graphics engine built by the Snowdrop Engine firm. Please keep in mind that this is the same graphics engine that was used in The Division 1/2 games and was also picked for the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora game, so the results should be excellent. Ubisoft has promised that Splinter Cell Remake will have next-generation graphics, as well as improved lighting and dynamic shadows, among other things. Unfortunately, the company did not provide any additional information about the project, since it is still in the very early stages of development at this time.

Recent speculation suggests that Assassin's Creed: Syndicate will be "a more stealthy version" of the franchise, with an open world concept like to that of Halo Infinite, which has various restrictions on a standard open world. Along with the introduction of the Splinter Cell Remake, Ubisoft also posted a video in which the developers of the original game reflect on the work they did 19 years ago for the game. Also included are members of the Splinter Cell development team who will be working on the upcoming game and who will study what distinguishes Splinter Cell from other games in the genre.

As a result, Splinter Cell Remake is now officially confirmed, albeit we will have to wait a bit longer before learning more about the game and seeing the first photos of it. We will keep you informed of any developments.

So sad... instead of new games with new stories we keep getting remakes after remakes.

Lots of remakes/remasters doesn't mean there are no new titles, which there are awful lot especially now if you only check Steam's frontpage.

This site is full of whiny sad nerds. Truly, try to be little more optimistic people.

All this new technology allowing for such crazy ideas to come to life like never before. And they just keep remaking old games with the technology. The gaming industry is the new hollywood.
But now they can add MTX, ads and NFT's to the game. Think of the executives pockets, please!
