TP-Link releases Archer GX90 and Archer AX4800 routers with dedicated game band

TP-Link has announced the release of two Wi-Fi router devices for the retail market, including the "Archer GX90," a tri-band Wi-Fi 6 gaming router with a dedicated game band frequency.

The "Archer GX90" is a tri-band Wi-Fi 6 gaming router with a game-only band and a total transfer rate of up to 6,579 Mbps. The game band is capable of high-speed connection of up to 4,804 Mbps, supports 4T4R and HE160 technology, and prevents interference from other devices. Even if the family watches 4K streaming while playing online, comfortable communication can be maintained without competition. The recommended environment is a 3-story detached house, 4LDK condominium, etc., and the maximum number of connected units is 100.

Equipped with a "game accelerator" that automatically detects and optimizes the game stream and maintains a high response speed. It also has a function that allows you to check real-time latency and game play time from the dashboard. It also has a Home Care security system that can check for malicious sites, prevent port intrusions, and isolate infected devices.

Wi-Fi communication speed is 4,804Mbps (5GHz, 11ax / ac / n / a, HE160) + 1,201Mbps (5GHz, 11ax / ac / n / a) + 574Mbps (2.4GHz, 11ax / n / g / b) ). It has a built-in 1.5GHz quad core and is equipped with 8 high-performance external antennas. The interface is equipped with 2.5Gbps WAN / LAN x 1, Gigabit WAN / LAN x 1, Gigabit LAN x 3, USB3.0 x 1, USB2.0 x 1. The external dimensions are width 212 mm, depth 212 mm, and height 51.8 mm.

Archer AX4800
The "Archer AX4800" is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router that supports communication speeds of 4324Mbps (5GHz, 11ax / ac / n / a, HE160) + 574Mbps (2.4GHz, 11ax / n / g / b). By using Wi-Fi 6 and IPv6 IPoE, high-speed communication can be performed while avoiding line congestion. In addition, it is compatible with "TP-Link OneMesh", and you can build a mesh network by linking with the OneMesh repeater. The recommended environment is a 3-story detached house or a 4LDK condominium, with a maximum connection of 80 units.

In addition, it is equipped with the latest security "TP-Link Home Shield" and a VPN server function that is convenient for teleworking. It has a built-in 1.5GHz 3-core CPU and is equipped with 6 high-performance external antennas. The interface is equipped with Gigabit WAN x 1, Gigabit LAN x 4 (two of which support static link aggregation), and USB 3.0 x 1. The external dimensions are 262.2 mm in width, 144.3 mm in depth, and 51.0 mm in height.
