TP-Link Archer AX50 listed at FCC - An AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 router based on Intel hardware

More and more routers are spotted with WIFI6 802.11ax compatibility. Many brands are jumping on it, including ASUS and Netgear. TP-Link is to follow as well. They're about to offer an affordable router based on Intel hardware, according to a publication at the FCC.

The TP-Link Archer AX50 is would be based on the Intel Lantiq platform with a GRX350 processor and radios controlled by the WAV654 chip. The router offers 2x2 MIMO on both 2.4 and 5 GHz and, thanks to the 802.11ax protocol, achieves 574 and 2402 Mb/ s on those two bands respectively. The Archer AX50 has 4-gigabit LAN ports, a single gigabit WAN connector and one USB 3.0 type-a. The AX50 has not yet been officially announced by TP-Link, but has already appeared in a press release from Intel, so will probably be available soon.
