Lenovo announced a retro wireless keyboard "ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard II" equipped with TrackPoint.

A new model of the keyboard equipped with the TrackPoint "ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard Ⅱ" has been released from Lenovo . In line with the successor model to the "ThinkPad Bluetooth Wireless Trackpoint Keyboard" released in June 2013, the 89-key Japanese layout and 84-key English layout model will be added to the lineup.

It supports dual wireless connection of Bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4GHz, and you can switch multiple connected devices with one touch. Android OS is newly added to the official support environment in addition to Windows OS. Battery performance has also improved significantly. 

The key switch is a pantograph type mechanism that employs a scissor lift key mechanism. Along with securing a pitch of about 19.05 mm, which is equivalent to the full size, the soft landing design softens the feeling of bottoming even when the center of the key is removed, so you will not get tired even if you input for a long time. The keystroke is about 1.8 mm. A new Braille 6-point input function for visually impaired persons has also been implemented.

The track point is equipped with a low profile track point cap. You can use the dedicated utility to set the TrackPoint sensitivity and center button settings (Windows only).

Supported OS is Windows 10 / Windows 7, Android 8.0 or higher. A hotkey for Android is also implemented on the function key. It has a battery life of about 2 months and a quick charge function that can be used for about 1 week with a 15-minute charge.

In addition, both Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless communication support AES-128bit encryption. It has passed various strict test items such as vibration, dust proof, chemical resistance, drop resistance, and rigidity. The external dimensions are about 305.5 mm in width, 164 mm in depth, 13.7 mm in height, and weighs about 516 g.
