Thermaltake to offer Honeycomb stencil thermal grease

Thermaltake to offer Honeycomb stencil thermal grease

Clever, Thermaltake announced thermal grease "TG-50" and "TG-30", and the special think about it is that you apply it in a honeycomb pattern with a stencil.

Thermaltake's thermal grease was officially announced at the " V VIP DAY" briefing for media held in June this year.  The kits come with a honeycomb-shaped sheet called a "honeycomb stencil" and a spatula. By placing a sheet on the CPU and using a spatula to spread the thermal grease evenly, you can easily apply the optimum amount of grease. The "Honeycomb Stencil" is compatible with both AMD and Intel, and can be reused by wiping it off with the included alcohol pad.

The product lineup consists of two models , the "TG-50" with a thermal conductivity of 8 W/mk and the "TG-30" with a thermal conductivity of 4.5 W/mk. In each case, the container is a syringe type that is easy to handle and weighs 4 g. In addition to a material that does not easily crack when dried, diamond powder is added to enhance thermal conductivity.

extra steps for mounting something that wasn't your first choice in the first place and pushes it to the last choice place, for me at least.

Just marketing, but the TG-50 seems interesting...

You dont know what you're talking about, low grade ?
the "TG-50" with a thermal conductivity of 8 W/mk < that's Arctic MX-4 territory.
If it's like the 10db fan (like a tupolev from WW2), the high flow waterblock (that block the flow and make CPU heat), etc etc etc... i am (sadly) right lol
Anyway i would go Artic better than give a chance to Tt on that product.

Because of my experience with arctic silver over the years and how expensive it is for the amount that's in a bottle this triggers me because of the waste.

:x

You should give a try to gd900 1/5 the Arctic mx4 price or less ... Same performance ! I used it recently so far so good and according to tech yes city 18 months later was just fine , really i got 30ml for 6bucks ..... I was just willing to throw it away if it was trash :p
