Thermalright releases Frost Commander 140 WHITE

Thermalright released a side-flow CPU cooler with a twin tower design that unifies not only the heat sink but also the heat pipe and fan in white.

The cooling fan is equipped with a 120mm square fan "TL-C12 Pro-W" on the side and a 140mm round fan "TL-D14X-W" in the center. In addition, the heat-receiving base of C1100 copper is equipped with five heat pipes with a diameter of 8 mm, which are thicker than usual, to improve heat dissipation performance.

The specifications of "TL-C12 Pro-W" are maximum rotation speed of 1,850 rpm ± 10%, noise level of 29.6 dBA, maximum air volume of 82 CFM, maximum static pressure of 2.1 mmH2O, and bearings of S-FDB bearings. The specifications of "TL-D14X-W" are maximum rotation speed of 1,800 rpm ± 10%, noise level of 30.2 dBA, maximum air volume of 95.5 CFM, static pressure of maximum 2.25 mmH2O, and bearings are also S-FDB bearings.

The size of the heat sink is 121 mm in width, 140 mm in depth, 158 mm in height, and weighs 1,000 g. The fin thickness is 0.4 mm, the fin pitch is 1.8 mm, and the number of fins is 53. Supported platforms are Intel LGA115x / 1200/2011 (-3) / 2066, AMD Socket AM4.

It's strange that ThermalRight don't seem to be a big name in cooling anymore. I remember their T.R.U.E 120mm heatpipe cooler as the first cpu cooler I had with the 'modern' heatpipe tower design. Before that, I think Zalman flower coolers were king. Noctua arrived some years later with the NH-D14 (then later NH-D15) and have sat at the top ever since.
