There won't be a Founders Edition of the GeForce RTX 3060

Chatter on the web indicates that the GeForce RTX 3060, to be released next month, will only be released by NVIDIA board partners. NVIDIA would not have any plans to release its Founders Edition for this model.

The news originates from our French colleagues at Cowcotland. Now if you look at the slide that NVIDIA used during the announcement of the RTX 3060, we see that no reference model was shown, suggesting that indeed the manufacturer does not plan to include the latter GPU in its Founders Edition list.

In the presentation from CES, you will have spotted a single blower style product, but that one was for illustrative reasons solely it now seems. GeForce RTX 3060 will be available at the end of February in custom models at a price that starts at $ 329 dollars (at least it should be). The card will be based on an 8nm fabrication APmpere GPU that offers 3584 shader cores, 28 RT Cores and 112 Tensor Cores, a 1320/1777 MHz GPU and which integrates 12 GB of 192-bit GDDR6 memory.

I blame covid hurting supply lines due to extra safety checks and people being inside with nothing else to do that learned being part of the virtual world, building a computer or getting an Xbox Series X or Playstation 5 is some of the best fun time-passing and allows us to still communicate remotely.

The sooner we all do the things to prevent and reduce spreading it further, the sooner we will be able to have better availability.

Speaking of 2060, NV is reintroducing 2060 and 2060S to the market. LOL
