There won't be a Founders Edition of the GeForce RTX 3060
Chatter on the web indicates that the GeForce RTX 3060, to be released next month, will only be released by NVIDIA board partners. NVIDIA would not have any plans to release its Founders Edition for this model.
The news originates from our French colleagues at Cowcotland. Now if you look at the slide that NVIDIA used during the announcement of the RTX 3060, we see that no reference model was shown, suggesting that indeed the manufacturer does not plan to include the latter GPU in its Founders Edition list.

In the presentation from CES, you will have spotted a single blower style product, but that one was for illustrative reasons solely it now seems. GeForce RTX 3060 will be available at the end of February in custom models at a price that starts at $ 329 dollars (at least it should be). The card will be based on an 8nm fabrication APmpere GPU that offers 3584 shader cores, 28 RT Cores and 112 Tensor Cores, a 1320/1777 MHz GPU and which integrates 12 GB of 192-bit GDDR6 memory.

When you think about it, it sort of makes sense, I mean they don't want to price the 3060 correctly so why not just sell old inventory in that price bracket which is already higher than the price bracket that the old card should be sold at!
They're not selling old inventory.
They are producing new 2060/S inventory because 7nm capacity is tight and so even 3070/80 can't be fulfilled, let alone 3060. So they're re-introducing 2060/S in the meantime.

Makes sense.. pricing doesn't though, but what you said makes sense.
I'd love to buy a 2060 but they are literally double what they should be... hurray the future is awesome... sigh.

makes perfect sense.
