Designed specifically for NAS solutions and featuring NASware 3.0, the new WD NAS hard drives provide robust and highly reliable solutions for the NAS industry.

D continues to change the landscape of the storage industry by unceasingly providing breakthrough technology," said Florence Shih, chairperson at Thecus Technology Corporation. "The WD Red 6 TB and WD Red Pro drives will assist Thecus NAS in providing a complete storage solution for home to large business users."

Reaching the highest levels of capacity in storage and boasting improved performance, the new WD Red drives are ideal for SOHO and consumer NAS users (1-8 bays) looking to maximize their storage capabilities. For medium to large-scale enterprise NAS systems (8-16 bays), the WD Red Pro drives are designed to tackle more advanced storage challenges and feature Advanced Format Technology.

"WD Red and WD Red Pro NAS hard drives can now complement the complete Thecus line, all the way up to 16 drive bays," said Darrin Bulik, Director of Digital Video & NAS Products, WD Storage Technology. "These specific drives are designed, extensively tested, and now proven a perfect match for the unique always-on NAS environment. WD's exclusive NASware technology, now in its third generation, enables seamless integration, robust data protection, and optimal performance for networked RAID environments."
