The Witcher 3 - GTX 780Ti Could Push 35-45 FPS At Max?
If it is up to Gametechs claims then The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be a harsh on the GPU title, so much that One 550 USD GTX 780 Ti already has a hard time to keep up with the game engibe, under the condition that higher levels of AA are enabled. The website mentions that the PC version runs HQ and 8xMSAA at 35-45fps on a GTX 780Ti at 1080p.
Naturally, a single 780Ti is able to hit the 60fps sweet spot in its current form provided MSAA is lowered. Moreover, it is said that the PS4 version will run at 900p/30fps while the Xbox One version will run at 720p/30fps. What's also interesting is that the console versions of the game will meet the minimum graphics settings of the PC version. Gametech claimed that The Witcher 3 on consoles will look similar to The Witcher 2.

SLI is worthless, two cards just create a natural bottleneck between them and it doesn't even increase available memory. I'd much rather spend the money on a single card with two GPUs on it]than SLI or a single card with more memory.
When someone buys a mid ranged card and SLIs them... just say get a single high end card, SLI makes almost every game worse, then you have to wait for drivers to fix it.

Thanks for your reply, sverek.
In that case, I should be able to go into my local branch of GAME when The Witcher 3 is released and load it up without having to bother about any Steam registration.
Would be a real pity if CD Projekt Red fell by the wayside.

The real questions about these performance & fps are :
Is it 40fps indoor or outdoor ? Wide area or not ?
Did they put Ubersampling(SSAA4X) on it along with the 8XMSAA or not ?
Because Ubersampling is still the biggest gpu killer today, among all the games i have seen so far.

Kind of worries me a little, especially since i just sold my 770 and bought a 780 ti just so i can play this game well! But i shouldnt be too surprised, where at 1080p tomb raider with 2xsmaa dips into the 30's and the witcher 2 with ubersampling enabled plays from around 35-50fps. As long as i can play at 1080p, max settings with just 2x AA, and have 40+ fps il be happy.

Will Steam be involved at all with The Witcher 3?
They weren't involved with The Witcher and The Witcher 2.
That's why I bought them.
Would just like a little clarification in this matter.
You can purchase Witcher1 and Witcher2 and you probably will be able to get Witcher3 on steam.
Will Witcher 3 require steam to be played? probably no.
