This leak is slightly more intriguing because the model names of the boards were disclosed a few of weeks ago. There are two gaming boards available, the TUF Gaming Z690-Plus D4 and what we assume to be the ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming D4.
The Wi-Fi version of these boards has a maximum frequency of 5,333 MHz. However, this shouldn't come as a surprise given that both boards are equipped with DDR4 memory, with the fastest memory speed being on par with ASUS' existing Z590 boards.
Following that, we have the Prime Z690-A, which appears to be a mid-range non-ROG board with a maximum clock speed of 6,000 MHz, according to the specifications. The final model looks to be a board that hasn't leaked yet, but which we believe to be the ROG Strix Z690-F Gaming, as there is a DDR4 variant of this board available for purchase.
- F-GAMING : DDR5-6400
- PRIME-A : DDR5-6000
- TUF PLUS WIFI D4 : DDR4-5333
- A-GAMING WIFI D4 : DDR4-5333
As for the memory speeds, they are slightly higher at 6,400 MHz, but this still appears to be a low value given that Gigabyte has recently leaked a board with memory clocks as high as 8,000 MHz. This suggests that either ASUS is being conservative with its lower-end boards.
