The Legend of Zelda in UE4

CryZENx has recreated The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time's Zora Domain in Unreal Engine 4, and has released this map to the public. This map is based on the game's 3DS version, and was built from scratch.

CryZENx just recreated Zora Domain from scratch, just ripped the original Map from 3ds version for the reference :) Enjoy it, download it here.

Iiiii don't really like it. Yes the cave is nice, with the caustics on the rocks and the like, the water, Link looks nice...
But the two don't seem to fit. The two art styles don't go well together, for me anyways.
A lot of work has gone into this, but link stands out in the wrong way.

I agree with you. It looks great. If you watch Link run in the water, the water does not react to him moving at all. Over all it looks great, this just sands out to me.

IMO besides the graphics, the original is better. This doesn't seem capture the environment of this area like the n64 version did.

It lacks character. Yes, quality wise is good, but they don't mesh together.
If there was a Lara or Drake, or even the hands from Crysis suite, it would match better.

I like Cryzen and its obssession with games fantasy world he has been progressing well, but as many said it looks like Link dont belong to this place, aestheticaly.

Shame Nintendo will never use this engine. All they ever seem to wanna do is step away from the realism look and just use cell-shaded or anime art style.

Nintendo is suffiently smart to not do that. Thank Nintendo!

I have to agree with some of you, I don't really like it. Something just feels wrong. First of all I feel like it doesn't "look that good". The textures are meh, the water is meh, it doesn't spray off of the rocks correctly at all. It honestly looks kinda like someone did a texture upgrade on the original version and made the character's wire frames a little more detailed.

That being said, LOZ games aren't meant to be pioneering in terms of graphics.
