The first pre-order GeForce RTX 4090 is rather expensive at 2100 to 2500 USD
Nvidia's forthcoming flagship graphics card, the ultra-powerful GeForce RTX 4090, appears to have leaked in terms of cost before its planned major unveiling at Nvidia's GTC presentation on September 20.
According to tweets from user @ILeak VN, the RTX 4090 can be pre-ordered through Vietnamese store AZPC Workstation. The standard version costs 50,000,000 VND, while the high-end one costs 60,000,000,000 VND. The equivalent US dollar amounts are $2100 and ~ $2500. It seems to involve an Nvidia Founders Edition and a bespoke graphics card. So far, we're in the region of the old Titan atlases. This is in line with initial performance indicators. This is a high-end card, not for the ordinary gamer. Nvidia will release the exact prices for its new graphics cards at their GTC presentation on September 20.

Hell I put my first good rig back in 2014 together for $1200. X58, i7 950, 12GB DDR3 1600, OCZ 1000w, 80GB raptor, 2x500gb, 2TB, Antec 900, GTX 560ti 2GB.
All of these parts were brand new too. For about 1600 I had a 25 inch in 1080p, Razer Keyboard and mouse, desk. Everything was under 2k.
Most I have ever spent on a gpu is $700 and and was not even the highest gpu, my current 6800xt. So I do not get this obsession with people wanting such an over priced gpu.

I had almost the same build but I stuffed mine with 2x 660Ti for $300 a piece but those weren't my most expensive because I had 2 8800GTXs when they came out. I was quite pleased with the 660tis for the price they were at. Sadly 2gb of Vram did not last very long.

The Titans and 90 Tis were basically halo products; they were the best of their kind and Nvidia could charge whatever they wanted because the next step down was already pretty much at the edge of what most consumers would find to be an acceptable price. For something like a 4080, that was an already long-established performance tier, where a major price increase is not to be expected.

still seems funny to me that ppl are buying by model/nbr etc, rather than what fits their wallet and/or performance lvl they NEED.
and if you DO need a +1000 card, well then bite the sour apple...

Ususally you pay double for 33%, if you're really lucky 50% more performance. eg the Titan cards, 3090ti, any top card you choose to mention.
