The Crew To Support 5760x1080 Resolutions On PC

The Crew To Support 5760x1080 Resolutions On PC

The second closed beta phase of The Crew is currently under way and some new information about the PC version of the game has surfaced. According to Ubisoft, the development team targets a 1080p+30fps experience on all platforms (PC, Xbox One and PS4), though the PC will also support 5760*1080 for triple screen set-ups.

The final game will run in 1080p with 30 frames per second on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and will support up to 5760*1080p on PC for triple screen set-ups. Right now the team is focusing on providing an optimal experience for all players. You can unlock it in the file you've found, but it may affect the game's performances. Your call.

Note: In order to increase the framerate lock to 60fps, PC gamers will have to edit the "PCScalability.xml" file that is located inside the "C:\Users\Documents\The Crew" folder. Just search for the framerate option and change it from 30 to 60. Changing that option to anything higher than that will not work as that option will reset itself to 60.

I hate the 30fps cap.

So Ubisoft still hasn't heard of 75, 85 or 144 Hz, 3D or the like.

:sigh:.

So they add support for surround screen resolution, but couldn't be bothered to edit 1 line in a setting file to unlock 60fps.

Thanks a lot Ubisoft, we know you love us PC gamers a lot. NOT!

Never mind the fps cap, the game is mediocre at best. One of the most arcade-ish games out there in terms of handling and I'm not even a sim fan.
