It is under the codename Intel Alchemist that the first series of Intel processors with the Xe-HPG gaming architecture will be introduced. It alludes to a fictional individual who attempted to turn metals into more expensive metals, such as gold, by the use of magic.

D&D and Final Fantasy XIV are two video game franchises that have included characters similar to this one. Intel provided HotHardware with an exclusive look at the artwork depicting the whole character, which has previously been used in marketing materials.

Battlemage, Celestial, and Druid are among of the classes available. Battlemage is a fictional character from the Elder Scrolls series. The Celestial was used for the first time since the 1970s in Marvel Eternals, which was published in 2011. In the fourth revealed character, a Druid, who has previously appeared in games such as Baldur's Gate, Dungeons & Dragons, EverQuest II, and World of Warcraft, is introduced.

Four products were revealed in an Intel roadmap that spans several years, three of which are Xe-HPG. The Intel Druid series is not based on the HPG architecture. The roadmap is devoid of specifics, such as release dates.
