TerraMaster D5 Thunderbolt 3 RAID Storage Device

TerraMaster announced a new RAID storage device, the D5 Thunderbolt 3. Designed for photographers, video editors and other media workers, the D5 Thunderbolt 3 is equipped with five 2.5-/3.5-inch SATA HDD/SSD bays, allowing professionals to capitalize on a total storage capacity of up to 60TB.

Multiple configurations are possible, including RAID 0, 1, 3, 5, 10, Single and JBOD. Thunderbolt 3 has a maximum (theoretical) throughput of 40 Gbps. The housing is made of aluminum and has a handle to make transportation easier. The discs are cooled by two fans at the rear. The manufacturer supplies software to monitor the status of the disks.

The suggested retail price of the TerraMaster D5 Thunderbolt 3 is 699.95 euros.
