On Sunday, Taiwan was rocked by a 6.5 Richter quake. It was the year's strongest quake. Yesterday, a 4.2 and 3.9 Richter quake hit the country's south. The unrest immobilized a Micron DRAM plant Monday, Bloomberg reports.

The fourth quake, a 6.2 on the Richter scale, hit southern Taiwan near Yilan. Micron has shut down a plant north of the Taoyuan earthquake, according to Bloomberg. Micron is still looking into restoring full production capacity.

According to Evercore ISI analyst CJ Muse, if manufacturing is significantly hampered, it would likely be felt in tight chip supplies, pushing up dram prices. The Taoyuan Microns Fab 11 is said to be one of Taiwan's two key production facilities. Last year, the factory produced 125,000 wafers per month, or approximately 9% of dram's global production capacity.
