Synology announced the launch of their new lineup of 3.5-inch SATA HDDs, called the "HAT3300" series, designed for NAS devices. The series offers four capacities: 4TB, 6TB, 8TB, and 12TB, catering to a variety of storage needs.

These HDDs are known for their high durability, specifically designed for a 365-day operating environment. They boast an impressive 1 million hours of MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and an annual workload performance of 180TB. Rigorous stress tests spanning 300,000 hours ensure exceptional reliability. The drives also support firmware updates through DSM (DiskStation Manager). Additionally, a 3-year warranty is provided with each product.

Featuring a SATA 6Gbps interface and a sector size of 512e, the drives in the HAT3300 series utilize helium for the 12TB variant, while the rotational speed is set at 5,600rpm (7,200rpm for the 12TB model). The maximum sustained data transfer speed reaches 202MB/s (240MB/s for the 12TB model), and the MTBF remains at an impressive 1 million hours.
