Microsoft has been working hard to get the new Surface Pro 8 ready for launch next week. Twitter user Shadow Leak, on the other hand, has uploaded a message online containing what appears to be the device's suspected specifications.

A 13-inch screen with a refresh rate of 120 hertz is depicted in the illustration, indicating that the Surface Pro 8 has this feature. A slim bezel and two Thunderbolt ports are believed to be included with the display. Earlier this week, The Verge revealed that the tablet would launch sans USB-A ports, instead shipping with USB-C and Thunderbolt ports. The image and specifications that have been shown are consistent with prior reports from insiders familiar with Microsoft's plans.

As a result, the Microsoft Surface Pro 8 will be equipped with Intel's 11th generation of core processors and will ship with Windows 11 pre-installed. The upcoming Surface Pro X should have a changeable SSD on the rear, similar to the Surface Pro X from last year. In addition, there appears to be an upgrade to a 13-inch display with a 120-Hz refresh rate and substantially smaller side edges, which appears to be the first time this has happened. A very welcome innovation would be the inclusion of two USB-C ports, one of which would be Thunderbolt. Even the Surface Pro 7, which has been on the market since the end of October 2019, continues to rely on USB Type-A for connectivity.

On the Surface Pro 8, according to the newspaper, the manufacturer is transitioning to removable solid-state drives (SSDs). Surface Laptop 4, Surface Pro X, and the Surface Pro 7 Plus are all included in this price range. It is predicted that the Surface Pro 8, Surface Go 3, revised Surface Book 4, upgraded Surface Pro X, and a Surface Duo replacement will be introduced at the Surface hardware event, which will take place on September 22nd at 5:00 PM Central European Time (CET).
