SuperMicro releases Z490 SuperO Pro Gaming C9Z490-PGW motherboard with PLX PEX8747chip

SuperMicro everybody probably knows as server motherboard manufacturer, but in the past, we already reviewed a couple of their gaming motherboards as well. The company releases their Z490 SuperO Pro C9Z490-PGW, a motherboard that uses the Intel Z490 chipset for Comet lake.



Most notable is the PCI Express setup. The board uses a PLX PEX8747 pci-express 3.0 x48 controller and four PCI-Express3.0 (x16) slots, for multi-graphics supports. When all four PCI Express slots are filled, the whole is divided into an x8 / x8 / x8 / x8 configuration. In addition to Intel I219V Gigabit LAN, the network support shows 10 Gigabit LAN by Aquantia "AQC107" and Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.0 by Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201.
