In Australia the power supply is officially 230 V, with a -6%/+10% allowed variation. So, anything from an absolute minimum of around 218 V to a maximum of 254 V. You will find it's similar in the US and Europe etc, that it isn't exactly 110 V etc. Standard outlet is 10 A, but 15 A is also available. 15 A has a bigger earth plug, such that you can plug a 10 A device into a 15 A socket, but not the other way around.

Anyways, I believe the 2000 W power supply is more intended for regions not stifled with 110 V supply. I'm guessing it will still support 110 V, but it may limit itself to 1400 W or whatever. The 15 A for a short time is meaningless, for safety reasons they'll abide by the 12 A limit.

Wow, can you say nuclear powerplant? What kind of rig would need 2000W? I bought a tiny Super Flower Leadex Gold 650W just the other day and it's more than enough for my rig.

I think this is in response to AMD's 300+ watt 390x :)
