SUPER series GeForce RTX 30 likely arrive in January 2022, GeForce RTX 40 in October 2022

SUPER series GeForce RTX 30 likely arrive in January 2022, GeForce RTX 40 in October 2022

It is rumored that NVIDIA RTX 30 SUPER update will be released in early 2022, likely CES 2022, although it is not entirely apparent whether NVIDIA intends to debut the mobile and desktop SUPER series at the same time.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 SUPER “Ampere Refresh”
What is sure, though, is that CES 2022 will feature a slew of announcements, including Intel's Alder Lake mobile processor and a likely Arc Alchemist launch as videocardz noticed. The NVIDIA RTX 30 SUPER update is reportedly expected to incorporate a GA103 GPU, a brand new Ampere CPU that would provide NVIDIA with more configuration choices, particularly for the mobile market. It may also make its way to the desktop series, but this has not been mentioned in any leaks thus yet. The reported RTX 3090 SUPER will almost certainly still use the GA102 GPU, although with more cores and faster performance thanks to improvements. The RTX 30 SUPER would arrive over a year after the original series.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 "Lovelace"
Then some alleged news about the RTX 40 series, which is a successor to the Ampere processor called Lovelace. In contrast to AMD's RDNA3, this architecture will not employ a Multi-Chip-Module (MCM) design strategy, but will instead employ a monolithic design approach. In the opinion of dataminer Greymon55, next-generation GPUs should now be expected in October 2022; however, this remark does not specifically speak to NVIDIA Lovelace.

If people are smart, then they will wait for 4000 series... unless you desperately need a new gpu right now.

Always a horrible deal buying a gpu mid-late cycle.

An entire army of bots and scalpers....not to mention the miners are licking the chops while we the peasants get the shockingly overpriced leftovers.

I already share this story on another thread, but I share it again, because it's a bit relevant here.

A couple of days ago, my MB stopped working. So I had to buy another.
Went to a store to buy one, started talking to the guy in charge. I look that a corner and there's a bunch of RTX 3080.
I inquire about them, and the guy just says those boxes are empty. But we got plenty of them in the warehouse. It's 1500 euros, each.
And the look of disappointment, when he realized that I was a gamer and not a miner....

There are a lot of GPUs out there, but most stores, importers and warehouses, are holding them back, so they can charge huge premiums.
