I really can't see the appeal of DayZ, not withstanding that it is built on top of the Arma game engine and control system, which is just plain awful, all the stuff I've seen on youtube seems to be douchebags playing a game that lets them act like douchebags to other douchebags.... oh and sometimes they hit a zombie or two with an axe.

I can see DayZ creeping to get back to the 1st place. There are also surprisingly many indie games on this list. I hope that "AAA" publishers can learn from that.
