that's actually alpha footage from 2008

As far as the new game goes, don't preorder if you have doubts! wait to see if EA deserves your money. I'm guessing not but you never know, I do enjoy the battlefield series for the most part..

You are right, and with only 'shortcuts' ('early access to weapon X and gadget Y') as a pre order bonus, it does not pay off at all, even if you are a huge fan of the franchise. What I am worried too is that actually this game will sell good because people thing they enjoyed, or liked BF games, only to see that this will NOT be a BF like multiplayer shooter.

I'm guessing the final finished game will be good, that's once you have bought all 12 DLC's first though.

you forgot to mention the extortionate pricing that EA is pushing on people.

in Canada a "base" game, meaning a non-deluxe version of the game starts at $70 and can sometimes be $80, if you want the deluxe edition or the pre order bonuses you can expect to be out a full $100. its disgusting.

been boycotting EA for years over their clear gouging and "all graphics, no gameplay" style of creating games. this game will not be an exception to that rule.
