Star Citizen sells 'Concept Motorcycles' at $36 and $48
I am getting fascinated by Star Citizen's money earning tactics of this developer, they have a new 'micro'-transaction available. Yeah, I've placed the quotes on micro deliberately. In Star Citizen's shop can now buy virtual motorcycles for between $36 and $48. The two-wheelers cannot be used and are concept artworks.
The "Tumbril Ranger" called motorcycle should be stowed in smaller spaceships, making it a more compact alternative to four-wheeled vehicles when exploring planets. The shop offers a standard version, a racing version and an armed military version.
Earnings, like other offers of the shop, be used for "the development of Star Citizen". fuel the sale, Roberts Space Industries once again relies on the artificial shortage of indefinitely available goods. In limited quantities, the vehicles are offered as a "Warbond Edition", which includes a lifetime insurance. This completely replaces vehicles in case of loss. In the standard edition, the included insurance ends after six months, but it should be extended against game currency.
Even the vehicles and spaceships themselves can be earned later in the game. The sale of the motorcycles runs until June 10, after which the offer is removed from the shop. This mechanism is also a proven sales tactic. Previously, only players with concierge status had the option to purchase the Concept Motorcycles. This status, which also encourages Roberts Space Industries to invest, is automatically given to backers who spend at least US $ 1,000. These "VIPs" are among other special offers made, they also get access to a special (virtual) club in the game. The progress made by the development of the mammoth project, has now seen more than $225 million. The title is still a lightyears away from a final 1.0 version.

You clearly missed the point of this thread / Star Citizen criticism, be it justified or not. But digital slot machines are not the topic here at all, sorry.
But yeah, good move to call the news reporter biased because he covers a game you apparently want to defend.

Just to add some fuel on the fire, microtransaction is now the new target of the fraud service in many country (EU and world...).

Well Hilbert I didn't see you bat an eye when Activision/Blizzard, Bethesda, Ubisoft, EA milk you with digital slot machines for years. Guess how much money you will spend if you are "unlucky". Even an idiot can understand that you will be unlucky, because REASONS (mathematics). At least Star Citizen will give you what you paid for. Tesla is doing exactly the same with Model 3s and other products and it sells like hot cakes, because people want change and it feels really good to interfere with the system and all these corporate scumbags that milk you for decades, while giving you the same year after year.
