Remember the year 2012? - A new video game by Chris Roberts, the designer of Wing Commander, was announced. It would be made available through Kickstarter, an internet platform where fans can fund products that will be distributed in the future but to date has not yet been completed or finished.

Star Citizen would initially launch in the year 2015. By 2015, Star Citizen had gathered more than $100 million in funding, but the game had not yet been released, despite initial plans. "We have already been working for a year, and with another two years, we will have three years in total, which is great for a launch," Roberts had stated in 2012. It is inevitable that things will become ugly and useless if we do not act quickly.

2020 - Fans have already spent more than $300 million on a game that still was not released. Squadron 42, the single-player campaign for Star Citizen, was originally scheduled to arrive in 2016. After that, in 2018,

A beta version was expected to be released in 2020. "We still have a long way to go," Roberts said of the project's completion in October 2020. "We'll have a beta soon." By this point, we were no longer concerned, and we were having a good time, at least for those of us who weren't paying attention... For the time being, the studio will not have a release date until the game is complete.

2021, the developers of this video game have snagged more than $ 400 million from fans for a game that is not yet available and has been in development for a decade ...

Star Citizen is in still  early access (we no longer know if that is good or bad). The game receives quarterly patches with new content and features. Access to this Alpha version is obtained through a Ship Pack that includes access to the game.
