Square Enix releases Hitman 2016 System Requirements for PC

Square Enix has released the PC requirements for their upcoming Hitman. Graphics card wise the minimum specs are a GeForce GTX 660 or Radeon HD 7870, indicating, we all should be fine whatever card you have.

The system specs have been posted on the corresponding Steam information page. The reboot of the game is expected to launch March 11th and will cost 50 EURO if you want to play all episodes. Remaining content will be available as six releases periodically throughout 2016, starting April 2016. As Agent 47, you will perform contract hits on high-profile targets in exotic locations around the world.  This game is unique in the sense that you can purchase episodes separately, at 10 EURO each.

  Minimum Recommended
Processor (Intel) Core i5-2500K 3,3GHz Core i7-3770 3,4GHz
Processor (AMD) Phenom II X4 940 FX-8350 4,0GHz
System memory 8GB 8GB
GPU (Nvidia) GTX 660  GTX 770
GPU (AMD) HD 7870 R9 290
OS Windows 7 (64bit) Windows 7, 8.1 (64bit) or 10

I wonder how long it'll take for companies to notice that people are sick and fed up with micro-transaction. Hitman is an action-adventure stealth video game that is currently under development by IO Interactive and will be published by Square Enix for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 11 March 2016.

HITMAN – First Official DirectX 12 Details Revealed

As the press release reads:

“Hitman will leverage unique DX12 hardware found in only AMD Radeon GPUs—called asynchronous compute engines — to handle heavier workloads and better image quality without compromising performance. PC gamers may have heard of asynchronous compute already, and Hitman demonstrates the best implementation of this exciting technology yet. By unlocking performance in GPUs and processors that couldn’t be touched in DirectX 11, gamers can get new performance out of the hardware they already own.”

770 was never faster than 280X. I'll advice you to take a look at some benchmarks. 280X is closer to 780 in quite a few recent games.

Crimson drivers baby.
The raw performance of those really pulled the 280x ahead.
And we all know how kelper is now a dying breed.
Plus the 770 I had was only a 2GB vs the 3GB 280x.
That hurt the 770 alot @ 2560x1080.
Anything above 1920x1080 and thats where the 280x really started to pull ahead.

Yes, the 280x seems to have improved in recent titles, I really didn't pay much attention to the 200 cards lately. Honest mistake.

But @Undying, back in the day they were quite neck and neck.

Ps. There's also a reference 280x in the charts to compare to the reference 770 also present there.

I never trust "recommended" specs these days, they always seem to run on lower end hardware anyway.

For Ultra, they recommend a 980 Ti, or Fury X with 6GB VRam.

Well good luck in finding a Fury X with 6GB VRam :P
