Square Enix releases Hitman 2016 System Requirements for PC

Square Enix has released the PC requirements for their upcoming Hitman. Graphics card wise the minimum specs are a GeForce GTX 660 or Radeon HD 7870, indicating, we all should be fine whatever card you have.

The system specs have been posted on the corresponding Steam information page. The reboot of the game is expected to launch March 11th and will cost 50 EURO if you want to play all episodes. Remaining content will be available as six releases periodically throughout 2016, starting April 2016. As Agent 47, you will perform contract hits on high-profile targets in exotic locations around the world.  This game is unique in the sense that you can purchase episodes separately, at 10 EURO each.

  Minimum Recommended
Processor (Intel) Core i5-2500K 3,3GHz Core i7-3770 3,4GHz
Processor (AMD) Phenom II X4 940 FX-8350 4,0GHz
System memory 8GB 8GB
GPU (Nvidia) GTX 660  GTX 770
GPU (AMD) HD 7870 R9 290
OS Windows 7 (64bit) Windows 7, 8.1 (64bit) or 10

I wonder how long it'll take for companies to notice that people are sick and fed up with micro-transaction. Hitman is an action-adventure stealth video game that is currently under development by IO Interactive and will be published by Square Enix for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 11 March 2016.

Those minimum CPU specs don't look right at all. Core i5-2500K 3,3GHz is likely faster than FX-8350 4,0GHz or at least really close even if the game makes decent use of all cores. Phenom II X4 940 is not even near Core i5-2500K.

It makes you wonder if they are even aware of what PC hardware is even capable of doesn't it.

Like... my previous CPU was a Phenom x4 955 with a slight overclock, and the Intel i7 920 at stock was slightly faster, at least to my understanding this was the case... just to give a bit of an idea for performance of the Phenom 955 which is close to the 940

Core i5-2500K is much more powerful than the Phenom II X4 940

A 3DFX could be the recommended specs for this game, i still would not touch it due to it's episodic nature. lol

I just recently had a GTX 770 and R9 280x.
The 280x walked the 770 quite a bit.

And the 770 oced as high as possible still didnt touch one of my 290s on stock clocks.

Wonder if this game will die because of eposodic gaming.
Hell half life 2 only made it through 2 episodes.

I am tired of mirco transitions. I just want full damn games and nice big expansions that are worth it.

How did the 280x walk the 770 'quite a bit'? The 770 is a slightly faster card.
