The all new Sony Xperia Z2 tablet has just been officially introduced at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC 2014). Claimed as the world’s slimmest and lightest waterproof tablet by Sony, this high-end tablet sports a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 touchscreen display, a 2.36GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (MSM8974AB).

It has a 3GB RAM, a 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, dual cameras (2.2MP front & 8.1MP rear), GPS, NFC, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 6000mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. The Sony Xperia Z2 tablet will be available globally starting in March.

The Sony Xperia Z2 will be released across the world in March. Pricing isn’t official yet, but expect it to cost about the same as its predecessor did when it launched.

The Xperia Z2 Tablet is “the world’s slimmest and lightest waterproof tablet”, according to Sony. We tend to agree, especially since we can’t name another high-end waterproof tablet.

The Z2 Tablet comes as an improved version of the Tablet Z. It has a 10.1-inch 1,920×1,200 touchscreen, a 2.26 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (once again the MSM8974AB), 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, microSD card support, an 8.1 MP rear camera, a 2.2 MP front camera, 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 6,000 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
