Sony launched the Bluetooth-compatible WH-1000XM5 wireless headphones. It will be released on May 27 and its projected market price, including tax, is 379 USD.

In addition to the standard model's "high-quality noise canceling processor QN1," a new "integrated processor V1" is fitted. In addition, by combining "multi-noise sensor technology" that efficiently gathers noise with four sensors put on the exterior and four sensors positioned on the interior of the headphones, the industry's best noise canceling performance is achieved.

The driver unit is a specifically constructed 30mm neodymium driver that utilizes high-quality solder and resistors tuned for headphones using Walkman-developed technology. Consequently, the reproduction and propagation of fine sounds and the perception of localization are claimed to be enhanced. The primary specifications include sensitivity of 102dB / mW (when wired connection is ON) and 100dB / mW (when wired connection is OFF), playback frequency band of 4-40,000Hz, and impedance of 48 (when wired connection is ON). Bluetooth standard is 5.2, profile is A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HSP, and codec is SBC, AAC, and LDAC.
