Sony readies Memory Stick XC

Sony's Memory stick is keeping up with its SD counterpart by finalizing its Memory Stick XC format that can reach a massive 2TB in capacity, just like the SDXC cards.

In the meantime, don't pay attention to theoretical performance numbers like 480Mbps - in the real world, they don't mean much, and we'll have to look at independent benchmarks. What's important for Sony users is that there is a path to 2TB. The new format uses the same physical design .
