Sony Purchases OnLive and then kills it

Sony has purchased OnLive, one of the more popular online game streaming services. With the buyout Sony now holds all its patents. However this was a strategic move, OnLive services will cease to exist after April 30 2015.

OnLine will no longer collect subscription money and its customers can use the service up-tp April 30. This includes OnLive Game Service, OnLive Desktop and SecondLife on the Go.

It is unclear what will happen with the 80 employees. Sony probably will use parts of the technology and infrastructure of OnLive for its own PlayStation Now service. Earlier Sony already bought and killed Gaika.

Onlive was the best application 5 years ago and now! So why to remove a company after you buy it. Sony sucks. So, i say to anyone who don't like scumbags, don't buy tv's, smartphones, other products including Playstation 4 because what Sony did is murder. Sony maybe after 10 years from now you will have a service like ONLIVE. PS4 is junk compared to streaming service like Onlive. **ck you SONY!

Onlive was popular years ago. Nothing has been said about it in years. It was dead and Sony found opportunity.

Oh shut up you clueless buffoon, Onlive was pretty much bankrupt, Sony have bought what's left of the failing company to ensure patent trolls don't buy it and use the patents against them which normally happens.
