Sony acquires Nixxes, specialist in porting / optomizing console game to PC

Remember the Tomb Raider optimizations for PC?, that was Nixxes. But also Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn and Predator Hunting Grounds on PC. Sony acquired the company Nixxes, a specialist in making console ports to PC.

For more than 20 years now, Nixxes has been in business, and their latest work includes PC games ports such as Deus Ex, Mankind Divided, Avengers and the Tomb Raider trilogy ports that are currently developing.

The takeover has been announced on Twitter: “I am delighted to announce that talented Dutch studio Nixxes Software will join Playstation Studios. It is a real pleasure to welcome a team with such deep technical skill and vast experience to the Playstation family."

Sony is working on an uncharted 4 PC port, and the company would like more ports to be launched because it helps increase its title revenues without adding a lot of development costs. Sony clearly stated that its next PC releases won't be available on Playstation on the launch day, but we'll have to wait for a while for their exclusivity to end. However, it seems we can play several more titles on PC if we have patience.

If this means more Playstation "exclusives" will be released on PC and sooner, then it's good news.

Except for the fact that Sony relocated their HQ to California and went full woke. Expect all PS versions of games, including PC ports, to be hyper censored even where there is nothing to censor. Not to mention filled with political bias even if it's just the western translations. Even in fighting games where there is almost nothing there to censor outside of the mind of a juvenile retard, they've been censoring.

The absolute degenerates who support censorship with mockery/strawman arguments like "u mad u kant jack off to your games anymoar lol" are the scum of the earth, they have no real argument, or at best (if you can call it that) are projecting during their troll jobs.

It was only what? 2 years ago that Sony's hard censorship policies became public knowledge? And it's already caused so much BS. It seems anything that goes to California goes there to die of stupidity.

I won't pay a cent for wokeness, if I want any of their games, I'll pirate them. Get woke, go broke.

Surely if everything ends up on pc, then the only format worth having will be pc?

In a battle of total market share control on the pc platform, Sony probably will end up losing to Microsoft though.

We will have more fantastic PS5 destruction from angry PS stupid fanboy to look with popcorn lol

From a business stand point it makes sense for Sony to port them on PC. People like me wont buy a PS5 but put it on Steam and im in. Im not the only one
