AMD's X670 motherboards are currently being tagged on preorder in select Italian stores. As a result, these are the very first offerings for AMD's next-generation AM5 platform, which will be available to customers very shortly.

Two of the MSI X670 motherboard series have appeared on at least three distinct websites, all with identical images, indicating that the source (distributor) is most likely the same. However, prices differ depending on the vendor.

The less expensive Pro X670-P variant is currently priced between 374 and 426 EUR, including 22% Italian VAT. Without the tax and after translating to US dollars, the range is 316 to 360 USD. The MPG X670E Carbon Wi-Fi, which has the more powerful Extreme form of the X670 chipset, is currently available for 562 to 640 EUR. Without VAT, that's 475 to 540 USD.

Both motherboards provide Wi-Fi 6 and 2.5G LAN networking, as well as PCIe Gen5 storage capabilities. The X670E Carbon will also accept Gen5 graphics cards and will have more sophisticated power supply (18+2 phase 90A versus 14+2 phase 80A on the PRO). However, the MPG Carbon is not MSI's flagship model. MSI is also developing the MEG Ace and Godlike series, which will have a more powerful power architecture (22+2+1 phase), faster Ethernet (up to 10GbE), and an inbuilt information display (Godlike). However, no pricing for the MEG series has been revealed.
