Sneak preview: Nvidia Titan Xp Star Wars Collector's Edition

Sneak preview: Nvidia Titan Xp Star Wars Collector's Edition

The wishes of the ultimate Star Wars fans that like the game on Nvidia hardware have been heard. Nvidia couple of days ago released their Nvidia Titan Xp Star Wars Collector's Edition, in both a Dark Side and Jedi version.

Unfortunately, EU shipments had been delayed, and yeah I didn't think that Nvidia would seed samples for a review anyway? but hey, today the card (Jedi version arrived). In this quick post, I wanted to share a couple of photos on what Nvidia has done with the lovely looking Star Wars Collector's Edition.

Honestly, guys, it's the best 'reference' design card that Nvidia ever released when it comes to aesthetics as this thing looks just terrific. But are you into the dark side or not? It's pretty important question, as the dark side card is colored with red LEDs, the Jedi side with green.

Before you ask, yes this is the same blower type of cooler, yes it'll make the same amount of noise and yes it'll perform roughly the same cooling wise. Nvidia, however, did make the card faster compared to the reference model Titan Xp, this puppy runs 1405 MHz on the base clock but is faster at a boost clock of 1582 MHz.

Remember, this is a full 12 GB GDDR5X based graphics card, and the Micron modules are clocking in at an effective data-rate of 11,408 GHz! So yes, that does mean this is the fastest consumer based graphics card your money can get you, and you will need money as they cost 1200 bucks a pop. The card comes with three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors and a single HDMI 2.0b. DVI is lacking, Nvidia does include a DP to DVI dongle in the box. And a Jedi Order sticker for your PC case.

From A to Z, the product is special, there is a lot of detail on and in the packaging, it's an experience to open up alright. Next, to that, the light-saber styled cooler is just stellar to see. Enough for now, feel free to check some photos from our photo-shoot.

You can expect our full review very soon.

And there I would have thought that the Jedi card, for some reason, would get a blue color.

I think Nvidia outvoted that ;)

It's a Luke Skywalker Lightsaber style Titan XP. Not a bad looking card considering the reference style cooler. This custom design makes the cooler more presentable.

Not Surprised by that considering Nvidia bleeds green. AMD needs to make one of their cards like this but Red in color if AMD had a card competing with the Titan XP that is.
