Yeah they are starting out at 250 bucks around here as our dollar is low at the moment so 2 would be 500 and I can get a 970 for 410 after rebate of 10 bucks so a no brainer.They would have to perform way better or be way cheaper for this to make sense.

Not impressed at all. Looking at the numbers Guru3D posted my single HD7950 Boost 3GB outperforms a single 960, at 1200P. 2GB and 128-bit memory bus cripples the 960.
In a dual card configuration SLI 960s obviously do not scale well at all. In games like Tombraider, Hitman, and Dragon Age: Inquisition my CFX HD7950 (OC'd 1100/1400) sits higher than the GTX 980 and just shy of the R295x2. GPU usage sits at 99% for all three. What's funny is that with my Eyefinity setup, at 6056x1920 I am averaging 35FPS (Ultra settings, MSAAx2) for DA:I. Again, 2GB and 128-bit memory bus cripples the 960.
Sorry nVidia, I traded my 2x EVGA 660 Ti 3GB FTW straight up for 2x HIS HD7950 Boost 3GB years ago and haven't looked back. I am quite happy sitting in the top 3% of all tested systems for Firestrike.

For the cost of this you could get a single 970 Nvidia missed the mark completely with the 960. SMH
