SilentiumPC Fortis 3 HE1425 v2 CPU-Cooler

SilentiumPC Fortis 3 HE1425 v2 CPU-Cooler

Another one from polish SilentiumPC, the Fortis 3 HE1425 v2 CPU-Cooler. SilentiumPC has announced the Fortis 3 HE1425 v2 CPU-cooler which is a much cheaper version of the award winning Fortis 3 HE1425 Malik Customs Edition.

Despite a much more attactive price the Fortis 3 HE1425 v2 is still offering the same cooling performance. Engineered to achieve optimal balance between heat dissipation and airflow it uses five high performance heatpipes transferring heat efficiently to 38 aluminum fins. In terms of styling the Fortis 3 v2 has a black top with black caps sealing the heatpipes.

The former properties of the cooler remain otherwise unchanged. The asymmetric high performance cooling body consists of aluminum fins and heat pipes, which have a direct contact to the processor and form the basic framework. For the corresponding heat dissipation there is a quiet Sigma Pro 140mm-PWM-fan included. The in-house Pactum PT-2-thermal paste also comes in the package.

Compatibility Beyond Size

Despite the overall size of the cooler, SilentiumPC managed to ensure ultimate compatibility with other components. The most distinctive feature is an asymmetric heatsink design allowing accommodation with tall high-end RAM modules. With low-profile mounting screws and only 158mm in height, the Fortis 3 HE1425 v2 is one of the most compact coolers equipped with 140mm fan. That means it can be successfully fitted inside most PC cases on the market.

Sigma Pro Cooling Fan
Fortis 3 v2 comes bundled with SilentiumPC's Sigma PRO 140 mm PWM-fan which features a new blade design and has a speed range from 500 to 1400 RPM to perfectly match the heatsink's thermal capabilities. Inaudible in normal operation it provides sufficient airflow even for demanding CPUs with a TDP up to 180 W. For additional airflow, advanced users can install a second, optional 120/140mm fan using extra pair of mounting clips which are included in the package.

Fast & Secure Installation
The cooler utilizes SilentiumPC's proven and highly praised multi-socket mounting mechanism. A simple yet effective combination of robust backplate, brackets and screws allow the Fortis 3 HE1425 v2 to be quickly and securely installed onto the motherboard. The kit also contains an uprated Pactum PT-2 thermal compound. The large V-shape heatsink cutout not only gives the cooler its unique look, but also provides better access to the rear locking screw. Compatibility list includes all modern AMD & Intel platforms as well as the latest Intel Skylake LGA1151 socket. Included are picture-by-picture and online video manuals that will guide you seamlessly through the quick installation process.

Availibility: The Fortis 3 HE1425 v2 is available at Amazon and the announced MSRP is 37.90€. For more information, visit the product page.

I just love how they say compatible with tall dimms and then the pic of it installed on a mobo shows it blocking dimm 1 and probably dimm 2 aswell maybe if it used an 120mm fan sure it may get away it but certainly not with that 140mm fan nah uh
