Shadow of the Tomb Raider Playable Demo Is available

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Playable Demo Is available

If you are still unsure whether or not Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a title you want to purchase, you might want to go and have a try with he newly released a demo. It's a thing I personally do miss a lot, game demos that help you make a choice whether or not you want to make a purchase decision.

You can test the game with the available demo for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The demo will take you through the first part of the game, the Journey to Cozumel and The Day of the Dead scenes. Fun fact, any progress you make will be saved and is usable in the full version of the game, that means that any obtained trophies/achievements move along to the full game.

Experience the beginning of Lara Croft’s defining adventure with the Shadow of the Tomb Raider Free Trial. Journey to Cozumel, Mexico in the midst of The Day of the Dead celebrations, where Lara and her trusted friend Jonah must race against Trinity to find a hidden tomb.

Immerse yourself in Lara’s newest adventure, and see why critics are calling this a thrilling conclusion to Lara Croft’s origin story. After completing the Shadow of the Tomb Raider trial, those who purchase the game will resume right where they left off, keeping all of their progress and unlocks.

Step into the largest, most vibrant world ever created in a Tomb Raider game, filled with more tombs, puzzles, and side quests than ever before. Stop the Maya Apocalypse and become the Tomb Raider Lara was meant to be.

Of course, if you like to know how the game behaves on your graphics card then you can always check out the performance analysis of the game.  You can download the demo from Steam, right here.

One would say - a bit too late for a demo release.

Better now a demo than never, it's not en vogue anymore to let people try out and not like a game.

This is something I've never heard before from a demo. So top marks for them for doing this, that way when I buy the game at a ridiculous sale for a tenner I can just continue my progress.

Have downloaded this, and will have to give it a spin.

Would be nice getting back into the genre.

Tried it last night and was pleasantly surprised.
It ran at 4k 60fps with no dips on my system, so now i might end up buying the full game.
Reminds me of the stone age, when we got demo disks with our favorite PC magazines. And could try the games before we bought them :D

Yes, PC Gamer comes to mind. Of course, slow internet speeds also made it necessary.

Indeed my friend, indeed... like I said, it's not popular to let people try games anymore, they want those 60$/€ and then only give you 60% of a game's contents from back in the day.

Now they call it early access and make us pay for the demo

Steam does give the option on refund, if you want to "return" the game. But i find that 2hour limit retarded, as it starts to count from the launch of the game.
(Once returned a game, it worked as it should)

With todays tech and etc, it should be sort of easy to start the time counter from the gameplay itself, not from idling in menu.

But, i do also miss the real demos, where you can try the game, and get a feel about the game. Oh those cd days.
I still have few cd´s from Finnish mag, with includes demos and test programs...

Edit: 14.6GB Demo... Geesh...
