Sea Sonic announced the 80PLUS GOLD certified power supply unit series "CONNECT" with a cable hub function that can be fixed to a PC case with a magnet. So your (many) cables do not lead to the PSU.

The first Connect power supply that arrives on the market will be the SSR-750FA, a 750-watt power supply with 80Plus Gold certification. As you can see in the pictures, it is a black finished atx power supply, but without connections. A thick cable comes out that runs to the loose module, here you can connect all cables.

The power supply unit with a cable hub function, "Seasonic" CONNECT ", which was reported at the booth report of COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2019, was officially announced. The attached cable hub is magnet fixed and can be installed behind the motherboard tray. This reduces the distance from each component and allows all wiring to be done with short modular cables instead of using long cables. The power supply unit is an 80PLUS GOLD-certified 750W model. The cooling fan uses a 135mm fluid bearing fan that supports semi-fanless drive. There are six protection functions: OPP (overload protection), OVP (overvoltage protection), UVP (under-voltage protection), OCP (overcurrent protection), OTP (overheating protection) and SCP (short protection). MTBF is 150,000 hours. The body size is 150mm wide, 140mm deep and 86mm high. + 12V is single lane 62A output, product warranty is 10 years.

Prices are TBA. Though it is a very nice idea, I am however not sure about the practicality of it as well as the added cost, as this configuration is not going to be cheap even slightly.
