Seagate released Cyberpunk NVMe M2 SSD, but limits it to 2077 units sold

Seagate launches limited edition FireCuda 520 M.2 SSDs with Cyberpunk 2077 design. The hardware manufacturer only makes 2,077 SSDs with the special design, making the product a collector's item for avid fans of the game.

Encased in a custom designed Cyberpunk 2077 heatsink, this officially licensed SSD is the perfect collectible for fans of the game. Light up your rig with customizable Cyberpunk 2077 RGB LEDs—full color and pattern control at your fingertips. Built with an aluminum alloy for maximum cooling effect that lowers SSD temperature by up to 22°C (71°F), this heatsink is designed to passively pull heat from the SSD—helping to avoid overheating while maintaining peak performance.

Basically, this is the FireCuda 520, as such the specs do not vary. The SSD gives read and write speeds of 5,000 and 4,400 MB/s.

"...but limits it to 2077 units sold..."

Who's the smartass in Seagate responsible for decision to release these so late? They should put this on sale at least month-two-three before the game was released to the public, to use all the hype and they would be selling these like a hotcakes. Now months after the game has been released and all the following drama about CP2077, all the bugs and memes.... Guess 2077 units for sale is an optimistic number, they should consider themselfs lucky if they sell that many lol

edit

They should be selling these as a part of the CP2077 bundle offer, slightly discount on the SSD and many game fans will buy it witout thinking twice. Missed opportunity, now these are going to be just a fancy glowing addon in some chia farming rig.

Perhaps they thought 2077 was a bit too long to wait lol
